Originally an organist, George Winston eventually switched to acoustic piano after hearing recordings from the '20s & '30s by the legendary stride pianists Thomas "Fats" Waller & the late Teddy Wilson. George eventually worked on his own style of melodic instrumental music - folk piano - composing his own material and arranging other pieces. Returning to Wyckoff after his sold out 2007 performance, expect selections from his two recent projects Gulf Coast Blues & Impressions - A Hurricane Relief Benefit and Montana, A Love Story plus songs from seasonably themed albums.
