Christopher Cross virtually defined adult contemporary radio with a series of smoothly sophisticated ballads including the chart-topping "Sailing".

His self-titled debut LP appeared in 1980, with the lead single "Ride Like the Wind" rocketing to the number two spot; the massive success of the second single "Sailing" made Cross a superstar, and in the wake of two more Top 20 hits, "Never Be the Same" and "Say You'll Be Mine," he walked off with a record-setting five Grammys in 1981, including Best New Artist and Song of the Year for "Sailing." He soon scored a second number one as well as an Academy Award with "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)," which he co-wrote with Burt Bacharach, Carole Bayer Sager, and Peter Allen for the smash Dudley Moore film comedy Arthur.

Cross' much-anticipated sophomore effort Another Page arrived in 1983, featuring the Top Ten entry "Think of Laura" (popularized through its presence on General Hospital).

Every few years, the world has been gifted with a new set of CC songs, each of his albums growing innately from the last while resolutely advancing the state of his art. And he has continued to seek out his fans worldwide by regularly hitting the concert road, never depriving those fans of the early hits (played note-perfect) but always insisting on featuring a broad range of his latest work, the songs where his heart (and his art) truly lies. The audience response is never less than rapturous.

Denny Tilton

Denny began his professional music career over 20 years ago. Billed as Denny Tilton and Friends, he has often collaborated with other musicians, both on his own projects and through his encouragement of others with their projects.

Tilton has since gone on to open shows for a wide array of performers, including Roger McGuinn (The Byrds), John Sebastian, David Bromberg, Chris Hillman, John Hartford, The Strawbs, Renaissance, and the Moody Blues.
He has performed at legendary New York venues the Bitter End, Fast Folk Cafe, Kenny's Castaways and The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. We last saw him at Paramus Picture Show opening for Dave Mason.

Denny released his first CD "Real Life Stories" in 1997. Featuring an all-star cast of musicians from the northwest New Jersey music scene, the CD earned him the 1998 Best Songwriter Award from the Northwest New Jersey Music Awards Association.

In March of 2000, Denny released his second CD entitled "Generations". The CD was co-produced by Dan Myers, formerly a member of From Good Homes. "Generations" has a warm inviting feel and encompasses an array of musical styles including ragtime, folk, country and pop. It was picked by Performing Songwriter magazine as one of their Top 12 DIY (do-it-yourself) independent releases in it's September/October issue. Also in 2000, Denny was chosen to perform in the new artist showcase at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival.  Denny was picked out of 240 applicants!

We are pleased to welcome our friend Denny back to Paramus Picture Show.
